Sunstreaer padded after her, optics sweeping over the room as he did so. He was much more protective of her now that she was showing and made a point of always being near her when he could. Thankfully, Prowl had played with the schedules to allow him maximum time with his mate.

Whiplash whined to herself as she returned from the medbay. Yet another unsuccessful attempt at getting sparked... it was starting to seem hopeless.

Nightstrider settled down on the corner of the couch, purposefully leaving space for her mate, as she subspaced her book. Flipping through the pages to where she remembered being, she hummed as she continued to read where she left off, her antenna's waving around as she considered the words of the paranormal romance book.

Sideswipe hummed and headed to where he felt his mate at over the bond, tugging gently on it. "How did it go?" he asked softly.

Sunstreaker sat with her, stroking her hip softly as he did so, twittering contently.

Whiplash's doorwings fell a little and she shook her helm. "Still nothing..."

Nightstrider chuckled smoothly. It was the first time she'd ventured out of their room without her stomach armor on, and the first time she had let anyone besides Sunstreaker, and Hatchet of course, know that she was showing. "Comfortable?" she asked teasingly, flipping the page in the new book, specially made to fit in her hands.

Sideswipe clicked softly as he converged on her location. "Don't worry. 'Strider told me a week or so ago that its when your not actively trying that you successfully conceive. It'll happen, it's just gonna take a bit, love."

Sunstreaker rumbled. "Yes. Are you alright being where others can see you?"

Whiplash sighed heavily and waited for her mate.

"Good." Nightstrider nodded with a soft and content rumble. "Oh yes, I'm quite fine. S'not like anyone is going to bother me too much." she smiled, flipping to another page.

Sideswipe hummed and trilled softly as he came up behind his mate, so he didn't surprise her. Then, he embraced her from behind and nuzzled her neck. "It's okay Whiplash. Give it time; it'll be alright~"

Sunstreaker nodded and leaned over to kiss her before settling on the couch and closing his optics for the time being.

Whiplash immediately leaned into him and clicked unhappily. "I hope so."

Nightstrider chuckled softly at him and twisted on the couch to drape her legs over his with a grin, burying her nose into her book as she read, peeking over the top discreetly at him.

Sideswipe hummed softly. "I know so~" he nuzzled her again. "Wana go to the rec room for some energon? I can sense Sunny there, and where Sunbuns is, you know Nightstrider isn't far away. Aren't you still heckling her to see if she's showing or not?"

Sunstreaker made a small noise but didn't protest, merely draping his arms over her legs to hold them to him.

Whiplash perked. "I am~"

Nightstrider chuckled, having expected such a response. "I know your tired love;" she whirred softly. "I'm not going anywhere, and anyone with half a byte of processor isn't going to bother us... Your brother is an exception." she grinned to herself behind her book, but the teasing tone of her voice let him know she didn't mean it. "Take a nap; I plan on staying right here to read."

Sideswipe grinned. "Wana go see if she is? She has to be showing something by now."

Sunstreaker made a small noise and let himself cycle down for a nap.

Whiplash nodded. "You never know with all that extra armor she wears."

Nightstrider couldn't suppress a small chuckle as she purred and thumbed through the pages lightly. Her hand came down to the gentle swell of her bared stomach, the silver metal bent outwards to accommodate the sparklings growth.

Sideswipe hummed. "Perhaps she'll take off the stomach platings for you? I cant imagine that it would be comfortable." he started for the rec room, tugging her with him with a boyish grin. "I need some energon anyways; just got back from running patrols."

Whiplash hummed in soft agreement as she followed after him. "True, true. And I bet Hatchet is on her aft about it too."

Nightstrider hummed as she read the novel. Maddox sounded like a pretty nasty human to fight with, possessed with the demon of violence. His female tamed his beast nicely.

Sideswipe chuckled. "Probably." he agreed. They weren't a long walk from the rec room, and soon the noise and general hubbub of mechs minding their own business reached his audios. "Do you think she's so... thick-bodied without all that armor on?" Nudity wasn't something that was a problem between most mechs and femmes; Protoform wasn't naked unless you were baring your spark and nether bits to another.

Whiplash shrugged. "I don't think so really. I bet you two had thick armor like that when you fought in the Pits too."

Flipping another page in, she grimaced at Paris's lines. He was a pervert, holder of the demon of promiscuity.

Sideswipe hummed. "True; but we never had two layers. We had one thick layer." he chuckled softly.

"She's a femme though," Whiplash pointed out. "She must have her reasons for having a double layer of armor."

Nightstrider made a face at the book. Paris was such a whore.

Sideswipe hummed. "Sunny mentioned that she was born with both layers if I remember right. Anyways," he trilled and slid the door open for her. "We're here~"

Whiplash skipped inside and looked around, grinning widely.

Nightstrider was engrossed in her book, not noting anyone's entrance.

Sideswipe nudged her elbow and pointed her to the couch. "There she is." He nudged Sunny over the bond to let him know that he and Lash were approaching, so he didn't leap to defend his femme from a 'threat'.

Sunstraker stirred in his nap, knowing his brother and mate where there but paid them no mind.

Whiplash immediately made her way over to the couple.

Nightstrider shifted her foot to scratch the bottom of the other one when it itched slightly. Still oblivious, she flipped a page.

Sideswipe followed behind with a chuckle.

Whiplash all but pounced the pair as she jumped right next to the couch and rubbed her cheek against her friends belly. "It is round!!"

Nightstrider squeaked as her friend startled her, nearly dropping her book. When she realized she'd been had, Nightstrider chuckled. "Did you expect it to be square? Of course it is." She smiled as her friend essentially nuzzled her gravid belly, the soft metal flexing slightly. "That kinda feels good." she chuckled again. "So much for Sunny being a good guard dog."

Sideswipe flopped onto the back of the couch and peered down into his brothers sleeping face with a grin. "I warned him before hand so he wouldn't jump to your defense."

Whiplash giggled and happily nuzzled her round belly, cooing happily at it. "So this is why you've been hiding~"

Sunstreaker grunted softly.
